2014
Sad to report two further deaths in 2014. Firstly Betty Adams (Wilson) who died fron cancer, wife of my cousin Christopher and on Christmas Eve his brother Andrew (Drew) Adams (age 61)who was tragically killed in an accident at work. Very difficult year for the family.

Finally met up with Terence (Terry) whose grandfather was my great grandfather's brother. I had previously made, and am still in contact, with his sister Helen who lives in Australia and Helen's daughter Wendy who lives in the USA.

Sad to report the death of my cousin James McWhirter (age 59), result of a car accident.
James's parents were Thomas McWhirter and Agnes Stewart.

I have added a new page to the family tree (Royal Connections)which connects the Barr Family with the Royal Kings of Scotland. In parts the link is through illegitimacy. James V of Scotland was known to have had several illegitimate children, one of whose descendents married into the Barr Family via Elizabeth Barr’s granddaughter Agnes McMillan.

2011 has been very busy and 2012 is shaping up to even busier – the joys of retirement !
